Borderline

02.2025 - NOW

About the project

Borderline was my most passionate student project so far. With just the four of us, we wanted to make a 10 minute of highly polished gameplay. The game is set in a fictional country under Soviet occupation with main character trying to cross the border. It worked out so well that, even after grading, the project continues with hopes of polishing the gameplay and visuals even further, and possibly making a full game out of it in the future.

Award Winning

During Student Festival, which is a yearly event at our school where students present their project, it won the "Best Visuals" award, and scored 10/10 grade.

My Contributions

Quest System

Easy-to-use, allows for adding, completing, and removing quests through dialogue without having to edit the original script.

Dialogue Options

Integrated with Yarn Spinner, allows for choosing and highlighting options with mouse wheel, as opposed to hovering over them with a mouse.

NPC Implementation

Quick and easy system to add new NPCs. This 4-minute video showcases how quickly the new NPC with voice lines can be added to the game.
